Synopsis

Nina Hayes, the FBI's first Black female agent, rolls into Phoenix to bring down crime boss Saxton. Her way in is Jim Ellis, a fast, reluctant getaway driver who happens to work for that same syndicate and has no interest in becoming an informant. The forced deal between them turns into an uneasy partnership. Across the season the case widens from one crooked cop's blackmail to buried Bureau secrets and a man in D.C. tracking Nina's every move. The deeper the pair dig, the clearer it gets that they're not chasing a single boss but a whole web of cover-ups, drugs, and murder.
