Synopsis
Elephant Song (2015) is a Canadian psychological drama you can watch online on iFILM. It's Christmas 1966 in a psychiatric hospital, and Dr. Lawrence has vanished without a trace the night before. His colleague Toby Green sets out to learn what happened to him.
The only lead is Michael, a young patient — the last person to see the missing doctor. But Michael has no intention of answering plainly. He draws Green into a slow, silky duel of words where every reply turns into a trap and the truth comes out drop by drop, traded for attention. Bruce Greenwood and Xavier Dolan lead, backed by Catherine Keener, Carrie-Anne Moss and Colm Feore.
Charles Binamé directs from Nicolas Billon's play, and the stage roots show: almost the whole film is two men in one office and a conversation tightening like a noose.
