Synopsis
Fascination (1979) is a French horror film from cult director Jean Rollin, and you can watch it online on iFILM. The setting is early-1900s France, where bull's blood passes for an anemia cure — and a bored upper class has turned the remedy into something darker.
A thief named Marc double-crosses his gang and runs off with the loot. Hiding from them, he slips into a remote chateau and finds two young women, Eve and Elizabeth, alone behind its walls. They aren't scared of his gun. They smile, pour wine, and beg him to stay until sundown. Marc figures he's safe. He has the predator and the prey exactly backwards.
Rollin trades jump scares for slow, dreamlike dread — empty halls, white gowns, blood treated like sacrament. Brigitte Lahaie's turn as Eve became the signature image of his gothic style. Best for viewers who prize mood and image over plot mechanics. Stream Fascination (1979) online on iFILM.
