Synopsis
Mary & George (2024), Season 1 — watch online on iFILM, a seven-episode British costume drama. It grows out of a real Jacobean scandal: Mary Villiers, a woman of the lower gentry, schemes to push her son all the way to the crown.
The plan is simple and monstrous — shape handsome George into the lover of King James I and ride that bed into power. The season carries the pair up from nothing into a court where every move is paid for in intrigue. Ranged against them: the rival Somerset, the sharp-tongued Lady Hatton, a returning Walter Raleigh, a perilous errand to Scotland, and a crisis that could topple the lot. The final episodes split mother and son toward separate gambles, and it all comes down to one desperate roll of the dice.
