Synopsis

The story barely cares about the manhunt. What it tracks is the wreckage left behind: grief, panic and a shared secret knotting the Elliots and Douglases together. When the police start knocking, the relatives have to agree on a story and choose who to cover for. Juliet's choices set off consequences no one saw coming, Jamie commits to something he can't take back, and Claire keeps digging until the answer turns out worse than anything she feared.
