Synopsis
Mr. Corman (2021), Season 1 — ten episodes, watch online on iFILM. Joseph Gordon-Levitt wrote, directed, and stars as Josh Corman: fifth-grade teacher, failed musician, anxious insomniac.
Josh has a job, an apartment, people around him. None of it quite fits. The season is built from episodes that work differently from each other — a panic attack at 2 a.m., a toxic bar night with guys who don't want to go home, a funeral with an ex-fiancée where both of them say the wrong things. One episode shows a version of Josh's life where different choices led somewhere else. Late in the season, he sits across from a father he hasn't spoken to in almost three years.
No epiphany is staged. The show earns its small scale by refusing to promise a fix. Stream Mr. Corman Season 1 on iFILM.
