Synopsis
The Andromeda Strain (2008), Season 1 — watch online on iFILM. A U.S. military satellite comes down near a small Utah town and kills nearly every resident before morning.
Two people survive: a newborn and an old man. Neither can explain why. The army locks down the area and an elite science team descends into a classified underground facility to study the unknown pathogen — coded "Andromeda." What they find does not behave like anything in the record books. Outside the quarantine line, investigative journalist Jack Nash tries to get the story out and discovers that certain people very much do not want him to.

A U.S. army satellite crashes on the outskirts of Piedmont, Utah, population 580, interrupting the awkward sexual foils of two teenagers. The youths decide to take the satellite into town for further inspection.

The president has to make a difficult decision and in order to prevent a nuclear disaster that would actually strengthen the "Andromeda Strain", the team have to overcome the building's safeguards aimed at preventing contamination.
