Synopsis
Barbie: Mermaid Power (2022) is a short animated adventure you can watch online on iFILM. Barbie "Brooklyn" Roberts, Barbie "Malibu" Roberts and their sisters Skipper, Stacie and Chelsea dive into the undersea realm of Pacifica and turn into mermaids.
A guardian named Isla invites the girls to compete in a string of trials meant to reveal each one's element — Earth, Air, Water or Fire. Along the way they befriend sea creatures and fellow mermaids. At barely an hour, with a gentle pace and nothing scary on screen, it's aimed squarely at preschool Barbie fans rather than older viewers. Director Ron Myrick keeps it sweet and simple.
