Synopsis
Another Happy Day (2011) is a caustic family tragicomedy from Sam Levinson, and you can watch it online on iFILM. A wedding pulls a scattered, feuding clan back under one roof — and the celebration curdles fast.
At the centre is Lynn (Ellen Barkin), already frayed before she arrives: her ex-husband shows up with his new wife, her mother (Ellen Burstyn) deals out cutting remarks, and her own kids pull in every direction. Ezra Miller plays the sardonic eldest son who films the relatives on a camcorder; the youngest retreats into himself. Demi Moore is the icy rival, Kate Bosworth the fragile daughter, Thomas Haden Church the smug ex. Two days in that house and every mask slips.
This was Levinson's directing debut, years before Euphoria, and the raw nerve is already there — voices raised, intimacy that stings, pitch-black jokes folded into real hurt.
