Season 1
Their music. Their story.
Synopsis
The Beatles Anthology (1995), Season 1 is the four-part documentary you can watch online on iFILM — the story of the Liverpool band told by Paul, George and Ringo themselves, with no outside narrator.
Across the season the arc runs straight through the band's life. Part one covers the early Liverpool years up to the 1964 world tour; part two carries the weight of Beatlemania to Sgt. Pepper; part three runs from Brian Epstein's death to the 1970 split. The final part stands apart, shot as the three surviving members reunite in a mid-nineties studio and look back. Two songs built from old Lennon demos surface here for the first time in twenty-five years.
What makes this season worth your time is the footage. Rehearsals, raw interviews, reels seen nowhere else, all of it firsthand rather than reconstructed. For anyone who cares about the band, it says more than any biography. Stream The Beatles Anthology Season 1 online on iFILM.
