Synopsis

Two timelines run at once. Aboard the ship, the crew loses control of gravity, heat and power, crosses a hard point of no return, and starts changing on a cellular and psychological level — pulled by something hidden inside Pod 4. Back on the ground, flashbacks to selection and training expose buried guilt, tangled affairs, and the real purpose of the flight, which nobody in the crew was told. The closer Venus gets, the clearer it becomes that Mission Control isn't the only thing steering this trip.
