Synopsis
The Penguins of Madagascar (2008), Season 1 is the DreamWorks spin-off you can watch online on iFILM — 48 episodes of four zoo penguins running secret commando missions out of Central Park.
Skipper, Kowalski, Rico and Private treat the Central Park Zoo like a covert base. One day they're vacationing to the moon, the next they're fishing King Julien's crown out of the sewer or defending their popcorn supply. Most of the trouble starts next door, with the lemurs — the self-obsessed King Julien, level-headed Maurice, and tiny foot-obsessed Mort. Episodes come in quick two-story halves.
It premiered on Nickelodeon in 2008, and the spy-movie spoofing plays just as well for grown-ups as for kids. The run builds to the penguins' first showdown with their archenemy, the dolphin Dr. Blowhole. A clean place to start the whole series. Stream The Penguins of Madagascar Season 1 online on iFILM.
