Synopsis

No parade waits for him. Friends turn away, the public reads him as a tainted soldier, and the bills pile up. Out of that hollow place Mac drifts into a contract-killing network run by a soft-spoken figure called The Broker. One job leads to the next, the targets climb from debt collection to a major drug dealer, and each one drags his war back to the surface. Around all of it, racial violence is tearing Memphis apart, stitching Mac's private ruin into the larger moment.
