Synopsis
Brothers' Nest (2018) — watch online on iFILM. Australian crime comedy directed by and starring Clayton Jacobson alongside his real brother Shane Jacobson, in a film about two brothers who are, as it turns out, not very good at murder.
Their mother is dying of cancer and the stepfather is about to convince her to rewrite the will. Solution: arrive at the family home early, stage a suicide, and fix everything before anyone notices. The plan is watertight. It immediately starts leaking. The longer they're locked in together, the more their old grudges do more damage than any external complication. Kim Gyngell, Lynette Curran, and Sarah Snook fill out the cast.
Shot tight and cheap, almost entirely in one location, and surprisingly tense for something this darkly funny. The Jacobsons being actual brothers gives the dynamic a specificity you can't manufacture. Stream Brothers' Nest (2018) on iFILM.
