Synopsis
Apache: The Life of Carlos Tevez (2019) Season 1 — watch online on iFILM: eight episodes dramatising the Argentine footballer's childhood in Fuerte Apache, a district of Buenos Aires where gang violence was a constant backdrop. Carlos is born in 1984; his mother is sidelined by an accident almost immediately, and his aunt Fabiana raises him as her own — the name he carries for the rest of his life is not the one on his birth certificate.
Season one follows the years between that cradle and his first appearance as a Boca Juniors prospect at La Bombonera. The show moves between street violence, family loyalty and a teenager trying to navigate a neighbourhood that has its own rules. The sharpest thing about it is the refusal to clean up either side: the football dream is real, and so is everything trying to stop it.
