Bane makes his first appearance: a chemically enhanced assassin hired specifically to break Batman, not just fight him. Harley Quinn walks out of Arkham and almost immediately ends up back in chaos. Two-Face is snatched off the street just before a surgery that could have given Harvey Dent his face and his life back. Mr. Freeze returns — his wife Nora is still frozen, and now a billionaire wants to exploit that arrangement to buy himself immortality.
