Synopsis
QI (2003), Season 5 is the British comedy quiz show you can watch online on iFILM — 13 episodes hosted by Stephen Fry, where being right matters far less than being interesting.
This run is the "E" series. Every show locks onto one E-themed subject: Engineering, Electricity, Eating, Exploration, Europe, Espionage, England, Empire. Alan Davies sits there as the regular fall guy, racking up the wrong answers, while guests rotate through — Bill Bailey, Jimmy Carr, Jo Brand, Sean Lock, Phill Jupitus, Dara Ó Briain. Two specials stand out: a Children in Need episode and a Christmas show on Empire. The season closes with "Elephants", a compilation of unseen footage from across the E run.
What makes this batch work is the chemistry, not the trivia. Fry feeds the panel obscure facts and lets the comics wander off-script. Stream QI Season 5 online on iFILM.
