This third outing for the couple swaps some of the banter for diapers, a wire-haired terrier called Asta, and baby Nick Jr.

The series sprang from Dashiell Hammett's characters, and its whole appeal is the easy crosstalk of a husband and wife who solve homicides the way other couples play doubles.
