Synopsis

Detective Amber Manning catches what looks like a routine case — a fire at a holiday home in a quiet Lancashire town. One person died: a journalist who'd been digging into a missing person and had stumbled onto something far uglier, a relationship between an older man and two underage girls that local people had chosen not to see. The closer Amber gets to the truth, the more it touches her own past. Archie Renaux, Ruby Stokes, and Ralph Ineson round out the cast.
