Season 1
The blooming of radiant first love.
Synopsis
Snowdrop (2021), Season 1 is a Korean romance wrapped in political drama you can watch online on iFILM — sixteen episodes set in 1987 Seoul, where protests fill the streets and a wounded student climbs through a window into the Hosu women's dormitory.
Young-ro hides the stranger, Soo-ho, and nurses him without knowing who he really is. That choice sets the season in motion. A first love catches fire just as it gets trapped between the national security agency, an underground network, and a rigged election. Once the dorm becomes the center of a hostage standoff, Young-ro has to choose between her feelings and her father, who runs the very agency hunting Soo-ho. He's cornered too, his mission pulling against his heart, with almost no one safe to trust, not even the allies of convenience.
Made for tvN by the writer-director team behind Sky Castle, the show leans on the pairing of Jung Hae-in and BLACKPINK's Jisoo. The melodrama runs alongside a cold political thriller, and for some viewers that second strand hits harder than the romance. Stream Snowdrop Season 1 online on iFILM.
