Season 1
No secret stays buried.
Synopsis
The Woman in the Wall (2023), Season 1 — a crime mystery you can watch online on iFILM, six episodes set in the small Irish town of Kilkinure. It opens on the worst kind of morning.
Lorna Brady wakes to a body in her home and no memory of how it got there. Years of severe sleepwalking mean she can't rule herself out as the killer — or trust anything she remembers. Across the season her story collides with Detective Colman Akande, who arrives chasing a different death entirely. The deeper both dig, the clearer the shared root: a convent, a Magdalene Laundry, children taken, and survivors who are done staying quiet. The murder case and an old wound turn out to be the same thread.
This limited drama rests on Ruth Wilson as a woman caught between guilt and blackout. It isn't a cosy whodunit; it's a hard look at what church and state tried to bury. Stream The Woman in the Wall Season 1 online on iFILM.
