Synopsis
Mojin: Return to the South China Sea (2022) is a Chinese adventure-action film you can watch online on iFILM. Treasure hunter Hu Bayi thought he was done with the trade. Then an old friend asks for help diving for pearls in the South China Sea, and a routine job goes wrong fast.
A storm sinks the boat. Hu Bayi drops to the seabed and stumbles into the ruins of a kingdom that went under a thousand years ago. What follows is a maze of rigged traps, deep-sea creatures and old magic guarding the place. The only way back up is to read the dead city's machinery and turn its own devices against it. Wang Ziyi leads the cast.
The movie extends China's popular Mojin franchise, drawn from the "Ghost Blows Out the Light" (Gui Chui Deng) tomb-raiding novels. It leans hard into underwater set-pieces and puzzle-box danger rather than character drama — solid genre fare for fans of Eastern lost-treasure quests.
