Synopsis

He's not alone: the kennel is full of hybrid kids, and Gus isn't the type to wait. Outside the fence, Big Man and Aimee piece together a rescue plan while Dr. Singh burrows deeper into the secret of Gus's birth — driven by a need to cure his wife, pulled somewhere darker by what he finds. When the operation finally moves, the zoo turns into a battle zone, and Gus starts learning pieces of his own origin that Birdie never told him.
