The Housemaid

The Housemaid (하녀, 1960) is a Korean psychological thriller directed by Kim Ki-young, available to watch online on iFILM. A pianist's family hires a young maid when his pregnant wife can no longer manage the household alone. That single decision sets off a chain of obsession, blackmail and destruction that no one in the family sees coming.

The maid finds the husband's weakness immediately and uses it with cold precision. Kim Ki-young built this into a study of class friction and male vulnerability wrapped inside what looks like a domestic drama — shot in tight, airless interiors that feel like a trap closing.
