Synopsis
Another Life (2019), Season 1 is a Netflix sci-fi drama you can watch online on iFILM — ten episodes that send astronaut Niko Breckinridge on humanity's first interstellar mission after an alien artifact lands on Earth.
The Salvare ships out with a young, green and not entirely loyal crew, and the trouble starts almost at once. An onboard contagion. A crippled ship flown blind. A synthetic named William, and a crewman called Sasha whose real intentions stay hidden. While Niko fights to keep control during a harrowing run through dark matter, back home her husband Erik works to decode the artifact itself — and stumbles onto something that carries grave consequences.
Katee Sackhoff (Starbuck from Battlestar Galactica) anchors the whole thing, pulling Niko between the mission and the family she left behind. The season runs on two tracks, deep space and Earth, building toward the first contact the trip was launched for. One for viewers who like their space sci-fi bleak rather than cozy.
