Synopsis
The Producers (프로듀사, 2015), Season 1 is a Korean comedy-drama set behind the scenes at broadcaster KBS — twelve episodes to watch online on iFILM. Everyone here knows how to make television. Nobody quite knows how to live.
Rookie Seung-chan walks away from a prosecutor's career and lands in the variety department, chasing a woman he secretly adores. What follows is empty toner cartridges, all-night editing and a relentless fight for ratings. Veteran producer Jun-mo cleans up everyone else's messes, music director Ye-jin says exactly what she thinks, and prickly idol Cindy — played by IU — learns to act human on camera. The feelings tangle as fast as the shoots come undone.
Written by Park Ji-eun (My Love from the Star), the show stages network TV as a mock-documentary farce, complete with real-celebrity cameos. Kim Soo-hyun is funnier here than you'd expect. Stream The Producers Season 1 online on iFILM.
