Synopsis
How It Ends (2021) is an apocalyptic comedy from Zoe Lister-Jones and Daryl Wein that you can watch online on iFILM. An asteroid will hit by morning, so Liza sets out for one last party across Los Angeles.
Her car is gone, so she walks — and her younger self (Cailee Spaeny) tags along, needling her the whole way. Before the end, Liza wants to settle old scores and unfinished conversations, bumping into a parade of familiar faces along the route: Finn Wolfhard, Nick Kroll, Fred Armisen and Olivia Wilde all drop in for a beat.
It was shot in about two weeks during lockdown on empty streets, which gives it an odd, hushed charm: the end of the world as an excuse to finally be honest. A small 82-minute film for people who prefer mumblecore and awkward goodbyes to explosions. Stream How It Ends (2021) online on iFILM.
