Synopsis
How to Keep a Mummy (2018), Season 1 — a cozy slice-of-life anime comedy, 12 episodes, watch online on iFILM. High-schooler Sora opens an oversized casket his globe-trotting father mailed from Egypt. Inside: a mummy the size of a palm, timid and lighter than expected. Sora names it Mii-kun and starts figuring out the basics of keeping it alive.
His friends end up in similar situations from different angles. Tazuki reluctantly takes in a lone oni child. Mogi discovers a miniature dragon in her bedroom — a problem, since she is afraid of lizards. Kaede's mandrake slips loose and has to be tracked down before something goes wrong. Twelve episodes of a growing supernatural household: the creatures get sick, attempt to learn to write, wander off on unplanned adventures, and quietly form something close to a family. Toward the end, someone from the outside world decides Mii-kun would make a fine addition to a collection.
