Synopsis
Dorohedoro (2020), Season 1 — watch all twelve episodes online on iFILM, MAPPA's gleefully violent dark-fantasy anime. The world splits in two: the grimy Hole where humans scrape by, and the realm of sorcerers who cross over to use them as practice.
Caiman, a man with a reptile's head and no memory, bites down on sorcerers' skulls hoping to find the one who cursed him. His partner Nikaido runs a diner and hits like a truck. On the other side sits En, a mushroom-obsessed crime lord, with his elite Cleaners Shin and Noi hired to deal with the troublesome pair. A zombie festival, raids into the magic world, the Blue Night party — and a finale that drops Caiman and Nikaido onto opposite sides.
Gore, guts and deadpan comedy share the same plate here, often mid-fight; the cast still finds time for baseball and dumplings. The full-3D animation won't be for everyone, but it nails the filthy mood of Q Hayashida's manga. Stream Dorohedoro Season 1 online on iFILM.
