Dr. Clitterhouse is a Park Avenue physician with a spotless reputation who decides the best way to understand criminal psychology is to go criminal himself. He starts by robbing socialites and logging his vital signs mid-theft. Then he talks his way into a real gang of thieves. Bogart plays the resentful gang leader who enjoys the doctor's company less and less as the doctor starts giving orders.
