Synopsis
Barbarians (Barbaren, 2020) Season 2 — six-episode historical drama from Netflix — streaming online on iFILM. A year on from Varus' defeat, Rome is not finished with Germania.
General Germanicus arrives with fresh legions, and Ari knows one battle won't hold the tribes together. He needs to become king of all — but Marbod, the eastern chief, is quietly making peace overtures to Tiberius. Thusnelda slips into the Roman camp alone. Then Ari's brother Flavus rides in wearing Roman armour, and the line between ally and enemy blurs in almost every household. Betrayals accumulate across all six episodes; the question is who pays the final price.
The German production shoots in reconstructed Latin and proto-Germanic dialogue. Season 2 leans harder into personal fractures than battlefield spectacle — that shift is what sets it apart from the first run. Watch Barbarians Season 2 all episodes online on iFILM.
