Synopsis
Alucarda (1977) is a Mexican horror film by Juan López Moctezuma you can watch online on iFILM. Orphaned Justine arrives at a gloomy convent and falls under the spell of a strange roommate, Alucarda. What starts as friendship curdles into obsession fast.
A ruined chapel, a pact to die together, a vow the girls never seal in blood — and a demon slips into Alucarda. From there the convent breaks apart: fits of possession, accusations of devil worship, bloody exorcisms led by stern priests. Tina Romero plays the title role opposite Claudio Brook and Susana Kamini, while the camera keeps drowning in red.
Moctezuma wasn't after a tidy scare. He built a fever dream — nuns wrapped in bloodstained bandages instead of habits, shrieking rituals, baroque blasphemy pushed to the edge. Fans of gothic and nunsploitation cinema have kept it alive precisely for that raw, unhinged fury. Stream Alucarda (1977) online on iFILM.
