Synopsis
Manos: The Hands of Fate (1966) is an American horror film you can watch online on iFILM. A family takes a wrong turn looking for a roadside hotel and ends up on land guarded by a desert death cult.
The caretaker is Torgo, a twitchy, lurching servant with strangely oversized knees who fixates on the wife the moment they arrive. His boss, known only as the Master, worships a god named Manos and keeps a row of wives sleeping out under the open sky. The car won't start, the road has vanished, and the ritual is already underway.
It was made by Harold P. Warren, an El Paso fertilizer salesman who bet a friend he could shoot a horror movie on his own. The result has spent decades on lists of the worst films ever made: no live sound, almost no editing, performances held together with little more than nerve. That same incompetence is why it survives, since Mystery Science Theater 3000 turned it into a cult favorite back in 1993. Stream Manos: The Hands of Fate online on iFILM if you love movies so bad they loop back around to fun.
