Pack Up Your Troubles

From crack-pot civilians to coo-coo privates–they'll lead you a chase so crammed with hysterical laughter, you'll say it's even funnier than their first feature, "Pardon Us."

About

Synopsis

Pack Up Your Troubles (1932) is a Laurel and Hardy war comedy you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Ray McCarey and George Marshall. Stan and Ollie get drafted into the U.S. Army in 1917 — nobody asks whether they want to go — and manage to stumble through the Western Front with their friendship somehow intact.

Back in New York after the war, they make a promise to track down their late friend Eddie Smith's family and reunite his little daughter with her grandfather. The catch: the name Smith belongs to roughly half of New York City. The search goes exactly as you'd expect, with James Finlayson turning up as a reliable nuisance. Not the tightest Laurel and Hardy feature, but the New York comedy-of-errors second half is the part that still lands. Watch Pack Up Your Troubles online on iFILM.
