Blind

Blind (2014) is a Norwegian psychological drama you can watch online on iFILM — the directorial debut of Eskil Vogt, the screenwriter behind Joachim Trier's films. Having just lost her sight, Ingrid barely leaves her flat, filling the darkness with what she remembers and what she makes up.

She invents neighbors, imagines her husband's infidelity, constructs entire lives around people she can no longer see. The film never draws a firm line between Ingrid's reality and her inner life — that instability is the point. Vogt made a chamber piece about how a blind person's imagination rushes in to replace vision: claustrophobic, slightly strange, and more original than most Norwegian cinema that year.
