Witches of Blackwood (The Unlit, 2020) is an Australian horror-thriller you can watch online on iFILM. Claire comes back to the town where she grew up after her mother dies, only to find the streets emptying out. Neighbours are fleeing, and her childhood house has gone wrong.

Director Kate Whitbread leans on dim light and long silences — the original title, The Unlit, says it plainly. Instead of running, Claire (Cassandra Magrath) stays to face her dead mother's ghost and the rot creeping through Blackwood. It is a tight 78-minute piece that trades jump scares for dread, family guilt and the menace of an old country town. Best suited to fans of slow-burn folk horror.
