Look Who's Back

Look Who's Back (Er ist wieder da, 2015) is a German satirical comedy you can watch online on iFILM. Adolf Hitler wakes up on a vacant Berlin lot in the present day — no power, no money, still wearing the coat he died in.

Passersby take him for a brilliant impersonator, clips of his ranting speeches blow up across the internet, and the failed dictator climbs back to celebrity, this time on television. Oliver Masucci plays him dead straight, never once winking at the camera. Director David Wnendt shot long stretches with hidden cameras and turned the man in uniform loose on real Berliners — plenty of whom cheerfully posed for selfies and aired their own grievances.
