He comes back because the local company that employs most of the community is failing, and someone believes only he can fix it. The dead girl's sister, played by Lena Endre, sits on the company board. His old neighbors range from cold to openly hostile. And underneath the business crisis, the original question — who actually killed her — has never been answered.
