Des (2020) is a British crime drama miniseries you can watch online on iFILM. David Tennant plays Dennis Nilsen, a soft-spoken London civil servant whose flat had quietly swallowed a string of young men.

It unraveled through the plumbing — in 1983 a drainage engineer pulled human remains from the pipes, and the trail led straight to Nilsen. The eerie part: he confessed almost at once, flat and matter-of-fact, yet couldn't say how many he'd killed. DI Peter Jay (Daniel Mays) has to turn that calm admission into a case that holds, while author Brian Masters (Jason Watkins) keeps visiting the cell, trying to map a mind no one can read.

Across three episodes the tension lives in the interview room, not a manhunt — and in what proximity to a man like this does to everyone around him.
