Arctic Circle (Ivalo, 2018) is a Finnish-German crime series you can watch online on iFILM. Detective Nina Kautsalo, played by Iina Kuustonen, is tracking poachers in the frozen backcountry when she discovers two dead women in an abandoned cabin — and a third barely alive.

The case pivots when lab results come back on the survivor: an extremely rare and dangerous virus. German virologist Thomas Lorenz, played by Maximilian Brückner, is brought in. He and Nina are strangers working across a language gap in permanent winter — hunting an active serial killer while trying to contain a potential outbreak at the same time.
