Synopsis
American Nightmare (2024), Season 1 is a three-part true-crime docuseries you can watch online on iFILM, reconstructing a real kidnapping the police decided to call a hoax.
California, 2015. Aaron Quinn and his girlfriend Denise Huskins are attacked in their home at night; Denise is taken, and within hours suspicion lands on Aaron himself. When she turns up alive days later, relief never comes — investigators and the press conclude the couple staged the whole thing, and the case gets branded a real-life Gone Girl. The final part follows detectives to a suspect almost no one saw coming, with the story told mostly by the people who lived it.
