Synopsis

James Parker is chasing a mythical "white ape" through the jungle. It doesn't take long to learn the creature is no animal at all but Tarzan, a man raised in the wild. A wordless, openly sensual pull builds between him and Jane almost on sight. And when the party is captured by hostile locals, he's the one who has to come for them.
John Derek directed the picture mainly as a showcase for his wife, Bo Derek, in the role of Jane. It isn't a vine-swinging action romp so much as a slow, deliberately erotic take on the myth — one that stirred up plenty of noise in its day.
