Synopsis
Za Palycha! (2023) is a Russian comedy from director Andrei Bogatyryov, ready to watch online on iFILM. A satire about a spoiled rich kid whose cushy life snaps shut after one car crash that his father's connections suddenly can't fix.
Tyoma Golub has everything, and he's certain his powerful dad can smooth over any little "problem." Then he rear-ends a stranger whose ties in Moscow turn out to be far heavier than his own. In a single stroke his father is pulled from the election, the family loses its lavish house, and Tyoma himself is shipped off to serve — to the airborne troops, straight into the hands of Sergeant Kotov for some hard re-education. No hazing melodrama here, just a tough drill sergeant and a barracks where rich-boy swagger buys you nothing.
Back from his tour, Tyoma learns that someone is trying to take his grandfather Palych's old house, and for the first time he has to choose on his own: slide back into easy money or stand up for his family. Sergei Shakurov plays the grandfather, with Ivan Okhlobystin, Aleksandr Lykov and Valery Barinov rounding out the cast.
