Synopsis
One morning a wall of black fog seals every window and door, and it never lifts. The Tower (La Tour, 2023) is a French horror film you can watch online on iFILM. Guillaume Nicloux traps the audience inside a single Paris high-rise alongside its residents.
Anything that crosses the threshold is swallowed by the dark. No outside, no rescue, food running low, and the years start to stack up. The tenants split off floor by floor, form clans, write new rules and forget the old ones. At the center is a young woman (Angèle Mac) who grows up inside the trap and fights to hold on to something human.
Nicloux isn't interested in a creature at the glass; he's interested in how a civilized apartment block goes feral from within. It's claustrophobic and bleak, built on dread rather than jump scares, closer to The Platform than to a funhouse ride. Stream The Tower (2023) online on iFILM.
