Synopsis
Secret Things (Choses secrètes, 2002) is Jean-Claude Brisseau's French erotic drama, available to watch online on iFILM. Stripper Nathalie and shy barmaid Sandrine both lose their jobs and find themselves broke in Paris — so they strike a quiet pact to climb to the top using the only asset they have.
Nathalie becomes the teacher. First come lessons in shamelessness and control over other people's desire; then comes the real hunt. The two women take office jobs at a major bank and work their way up over their colleagues toward the owner's son. He turns out to be a far more dangerous player, with rules of his own — and the higher the stakes climb, the less the women can tell who is steering whom. Coralie Revel and Sabrina Seyvecou play the pairing without coyness, balanced between cold calculation and genuine risk.
Brisseau builds a provocation about money, sex and power that swerves, in its last act, into something closer to a gothic nightmare — a jolt for anyone who came expecting smooth eroticism.
