Season 1
For most, life unfolds entirely by chance.
Synopsis
Three-Body (三体, 2023), Season 1 is the Chinese sci-fi epic you can watch online on iFILM — thirty episodes adapting Liu Cixin's award-winning novel.
Applied physicist Wang Miao is pulled into a police case: scientists around the globe are killing themselves, and no one can say why. Numbers start surfacing in his photographs. Then a countdown appears in his own vision. The trail leads to a VR title called Three-Body, where worlds rise and burn under three unstable suns. Running beneath it is the story of Ye Wenjie — her youth during the Cultural Revolution, the secret Red Coast base, and a signal she once sent into the dark. The season braids the two timelines together, patiently.
Tencent's adaptation stays close to the page: talky, slow-burning, more interested in physics and conscience than in set pieces. It rewards viewers who like to puzzle things out alongside the characters. Stream Three-Body Season 1 online on iFILM.
