Operation Red Sea

Operation Red Sea (红海行动, 2018) is a relentless war action film you can watch online on iFILM. When the fictional Arab state of Yewaire collapses into a coup and civil war, eight commandos of the Chinese Navy's Jiaolong "Sea Dragon" unit are sent in to free hostages and pull out their own.

Director Dante Lam barely lets you breathe. A dockside firefight, an urban assault, a desert ambush, a sniper duel — each set piece hits hard and spares the audience nothing. Running underneath is a second clock: rebels and the Zaka terror cell are hunting uranium to build a dirty bomb, and there are only hours to stop them. The squad takes real casualties, and the film never pretends combat is clean.

Made with cooperation from the Chinese Navy, it puts genuine hardware and scale on screen that most of the genre can't match. Zhang Hanyu and Huang Jingyu carry the tension long past the point where lesser action movies run dry. For viewers who want brutal, physical combat with no superhero gloss, this one delivers.
