Synopsis
Season 2 of An Ordinary Woman (Обычная женщина, 2018) runs eight episodes of Russian crime drama you can watch online on iFILM. It opens on the cliffhanger that ended season one: Marina goes into early labour from sheer stress while her daughter Katya is knifed by a drug dealer right in front of her.
What follows is damage control that never lets up. The baby and Katya pull through, but Sveta's murder still hangs over everyone. Marina, Galina and a dangerous new partner, Liza, try to pin the killing on a wealthy client — plant a body at his place, frame him, wriggle free. The schemes keep collapsing: a shared car drives off with the evidence inside, the flower shop turns out to double as a drug drop. Her husband Artyom wants to confess and take the prison sentence himself, while both gangsters and the client's bodyguard close in on the family. By the finale her relatives are hostages and Marina has nothing left to lose.
