Synopsis
Deep in the Darkness (2014) is an American horror film directed by Colin Theys, available to watch online on iFILM. Dr. Michael Cayle relocates his family from New York City to the quiet town of Ashborough — friendly neighbors, clean air, space to breathe. The first sign something is wrong is that nothing seems wrong.
Theys builds the dread slowly: the townspeople's hospitality has a very particular reason behind it, and once Cayle discovers what lives in the woods behind his house, the nature of that reason becomes clear. Dean Stockwell and Sean Patrick Thomas lead the cast. The film is more interested in what people will quietly accept than in the creature itself — which makes the horror stick a bit longer.
