Synopsis
The Last Rite (2021) is a British horror film you can watch online on iFILM. Director Leroy Kincaid built it around documented accounts of sleep paralysis, using the condition as an entry point for something that medical textbooks can't account for.
Lucy, a medical student, moves in with her boyfriend and the sleep paralysis starts almost at once — a dark figure in the corner of the room, a body that won't respond. She's trained to find rational answers. She runs out of them. Tara Ojos-Martinez carries the film in a performance that makes ordinary rooms feel threatening. The horror doesn't come from jump scares — it's the specific helplessness of waking up unable to move while something stands nearby.
